Begin the Dagala adventure from the Genekha area and leave the lower valley behind as the trail gradually climbs into the mountains.
Walk through forested terrain and open landscapes before reaching the Gur area for the first overnight camp.
DAY 02 Gur to Labatama Climb into the Dagala Highlands +
Continue climbing through the mountain landscape as the route moves deeper into the Dagala region.
The scenery becomes increasingly open and dramatic before reaching the Labatama area, surrounded by the beautiful highland environment.
DAY 03 Explore the Dagala Lakes Alpine Lakes & Mountain Scenery +
Spend the day exploring the highland surroundings and the beautiful lakes that give the Dagala trek its name.
Walk through open mountain terrain and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this remote region before returning to camp.
DAY 04 Labatama to Panka High Passes & Open Landscapes +
Leave the Labatama area and continue across the highlands towards Panka.
This section of the trek passes through exposed mountain terrain and offers rewarding views across the surrounding valleys and distant ranges.
DAY 05 Panka to Talakha Across the Final Highlands +
Continue across the final high sections of the route as the trail begins moving towards the Thimphu side of the mountains.
Enjoy another day of open landscapes, mountain views and peaceful trekking before reaching the Talakha area.
DAY 06 Talakha to Chamgang Final Descent & Trek Completion +
Begin the final descent from the highlands, leaving the remote mountain landscape behind as the trail approaches the lower valley.
Complete the trek near Chamgang, where your vehicle will meet you for the onward transfer, marking the end of the Dagala Thousand Lakes journey.
